Monitor When to Return
· Review and comply with state & local guidelines and orders.
· Monitor authorization of place for practice and play from appropriate local city officials.
· Assess your organization's readiness and ability to meet local guidelines.
· Establish that safety, financial and other risks are understood and acceptable.
Understand Liability & Minimize Risk
· Alignment of return to government orders.
· Organizational readiness and willingness to comply with operating considerations.
· Understand and comply with insurance considerations.
· Understand waivers and communication.
· Understand appropriate signage.
· Understand the current legal environment.
· Develop a policy for anyone in your community who doesn’t comply with new guidance.
Create an Operating Playbook
· Review operating considerations from various authorities.
· Create a playbook and assign a team leader.
· Communication plans to all parties.
· Secure authorized place of practice and play from appropriate local city officials.
· Order any new requisite supplies (e.g. masks for coaches).
Communicate to Field Owners, Parents, Umpires and Coaches
· Communication plan to secure playing spaces.
· Communication plan to parents, coaches and officials.
Create a Learning & Feedback Plan
· Open communication channels to parents, coaches and umpires for adjustments.
· Create a communication process for parents, coaches and umpires if someone on the team becomes sick.
Practice and Play Protocols
· President / Manager COVID Vaccinated.
· Coaches regularly COVID tested.
· Facilities sanitized before sessions. Benches, tables, etc.
· Players that develop COVID-19 symptoms while at baseball will be separated from other players and sent home.
· Players MUST bring their own bats, gloves and helmets. There will be no sharing of equipment.
· Face Mask are required for all attendees. (Provided if needed).
· Touchless Hand Sanitizers on Site.
· Temperature checks performed before participation.
· 6 Feet Distancing Between Players and Coaches.
· Coaches should avoid contact with participants and facilitate physical distancing between players.
· Minimum Player Count to maintain distance and social bubble.
· No sharing of non-sanitized equipment.
· Players and coaches will not spit on the field or eat sunflower seeds.
Limits on Observers:
· Parents MUST stay in their car for drop off/pick up of players and wear masks if outside of their car.
· Only immediate household members of players may observe games.
· Observing games, individuals must stay at least 6 feet from non-household members and wear face coverings at all times.
